This could be because the singer's disc is either scratched or dirty. This would make the read slower as Hoster trys to correct errors in the read. Take a look at their disc before you put it in the drive. This one reason why I still keep a disc cleaner handy.
You would be surprised at how many people (some DJs and KJs too) do not know how to handle CDs. I have seen people rub them on their shirts or pants to try to clean them or grab the across the data side with their whole hand.

just got a new problem with importing last night, and you were right the singers disc was dirty, i brought my disc cleaner with me last night, but anyway, i tried importing the disc while a song was playing and i still get the same problem it will stop for a few sec. and when it starts back up the songs go out of sync, but the singers monitor glitched was gone...

That is the error correction kicking in. My wife has gone to makeing announcements in between while importing. Saves on the aggrevation in case the disc is scratched or extremely dirty.

we had a bad weather last night, and luckily for me it wasn't a busy night, (40-50ppl )and i had some friends that came by , and one of them is a comedian,( looks like Fat Albert ) so when i found out about my importing problem , i kinda asked him to tell a few jokes, while i import..and it worked, had to buy him a few drinks though..but anyway if that was the error correction working, there is no way of fixing it ?, so you're telling me unless the disc in good shape importing shouldn't be problem ?..
