everytime i had to change a resolution all i see was like you said a confirmation, and it' will start the countdown, but i havent seen a warning, the only thing i see was by changing the resolution i need to re-start the comp./laptop for the changes to take effect..and i have never had a problem..like i said i probably just got lucky..
