Does it change from Ready to Error in the status block?
What I think may be the problem is that they are recorded at a Bit Rate Hoster cannot use. The standard bit rate is 128 bps. I know that MadJim had some problems with this and figured out the ones that wouldn't play were recorded at 320 bps. They would actually make his computer blue screen.

DDouglas

They worked fine until I upgraded to 4.06 and thy are recorded at 128. in the older versions I could just go to my drive and load them with no problem.

Mark what he is referring to is you have a copy of Version 3.4 installed along with 4.06. Look in C:\Program Files\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster for a file called Hoster34.exe. Double click on it, load some MP3s and see if they play.
If they do then go back into Hoster 4.06 and open Tools/Options and change to the "Old" player. Then try your MP3s again. (Thanks Jim for triggering my memory)
