Just to be sure...... you are using Vista, right? Have you tried ALL the features, including importing and playing singer's disks? Everything is working for you on 4.03, including key changes, etc.?

Yes everything is working, as far as I know, I havn't done alot of key changes with it yet, but the songs that I do seem to be fine. Have imported many singers discs without a hitch. Yes I am using Vista. Now remember there are others out there with Vista that did have problems with 4.3 I may just be one of the lucky ones. I have a Toshiba satellite

I'm just gonna stick with 4.3 and leave it at that for now. I don't do any music videos and I think that is what all the hulla balu is about in 4.4. What I need and use in in 4.3 Good luck to you again and let me know how you do.

I have vista on HP laptop and could not get 4.04 working correctly. The lag on lyrics was the primary concern but I also had occasional freezes and other assorted minor glitches that couldn't be ignored.

I am very happy with 4.3 and will highly reccommend it to all.

Hey Sky,
I just read a post where another vista user said 4.03 works great for them but 4.04 does not, a completly oposite report using the same operating system. Welcome to working with vista. I think we all feel MTU's pain buy remember, they are seasoned programers and they will tame vista, even if it kills them, just kidding.

As a mater of fact, the other vista user is Gator66 who just posted while I was typing.

System restore works the same in Vista, I did a restore after installing 4.04. My problem is that 4.04 will not run. Programs starts but if I try to add song to play list, it freezes. I'll wait until 4.05.

Well, I guess it's time for me to "bite the bullet" and upgrade my Vista. I'll put in 4.03 and then post back how it works for me. I put 4.04 on my BU XP, but really haven't played with it enough to know whether everything works right or not.

I have Vista Hp Laptop, after installing 4.04. Hoster start ok, song play fine at start then the audio and lyric slowed down then hoster crashed. Tired of different problem on this vista version. Hoster 3.4 was stable on vista, why not start with this and add the features that was added to 4.04?

My Xp desktop (small gamecube case} is running smooth without any trouble.

I guess I just have to wait for the stable version for Vista Laptop.

Still waiting for the video Mux to work so I could my system at my gig.

Still using Hoster 3.315 at my gig and running perfect even CPU is at 100% most of the time. No audio drop, no slowing down even I have 5 hoster window open at the same time, 2 ms access window and a winamp.

Most people on this Forum say that 4.03 is working good on Vista. 4.04 working good on XP. Both include 3.4 which is 3.321a, which is good for Vista. I still have 3.321 on my Vista which works great.

So, for videos MUX to work, 3.321 works. On 4.0x in order to play MUX Videos, then use 3.4. I have also read where you can have 4.0x and 3.4 open at the same time. So, you would only need to use 3.4 too play the videos that need MUX. That's what I am going to try, as I really want to create Singers Songlists, instead of opening up different playlists all the time.

yes, it has Xp and i'm using 4.04 but unfortunately video mux is not yet working or available in this 4.04. So I still have tu use 3.4 for my video karaoke (vcd). I used mpeg video (VCD) 40% on my gig.

Laddie is correct, system restore will get you going. If this fails, I can put a copy of 4.03 on my website and send you a link so you can download it. System restore will work, we'll get you going one way or the other.

i hosted a show on friday with 4.04 no problems... then i hosted a show on Saturday and it and occasionally tracks would stutter and audibly slow down i had to constantly close and reopen hoster to get the next track up. so i did a system restore and have version 4.03 the one that works great with videos and everything else apart from the key change. i am going to stick with 4.03 as when i upgraded it to 4.04 i couldnt play videos i got error messages and lyrics slowed down and then i had the stutter problems. i am testing 4.03 for at least 10 hours with various tracks to make sure its running smooth before my show on friday , i cant risk using 4.04 until i know its ok

This is why you Save rather than Run Hoster versions when you download them.
