Thanks Ernie. I didn't know Plextor made Hard drives. My hard drive on my laptop is 100gig. Like I said I'm up to around 11,000 now. I figure to up those songs to 192kb would more than fill it up. So I figure I need to go to a 500 or at least a 250 gig drive.

Still would like some other ideas. Leaning towards WD or Maxtor. And...... this thread probably needs to be moved to "Hosts and Singers Wisdom." Sorry.

I have never had any problems with Seagate. We currently use 250GB SATA drives from them and not one error.

Seagate is all I use as well.

I have both
I have a 160 Gig Seagate and it is very good. I just purchased a 500 gig Western Digital from Walmart.com. It stays next to my desktop computer and keeps all the songs in case I need a backup. The Seagate goes to shows with me. I keep no songs on my laptop. I don't know if that is good or not, but it works for me.
