Re: Search function problem
Ok I tried restoring to an earlier date and that didn't help. I updated my virus protection and did a scan for that. The only thing I have done that I can think of is intstall a microstudio demo. The only other thing I notice is that I have a file on my desktop that I have no clue where it came from and has files in it that I don't know what they are. They have the file extension .IRX
And there are some .ALL files I'm not sure what to think at this point. At least everything else works fine, but I can't believe how much I miss it! ![]() Thanks for the idea's. If you have anymore I'll take them! And I'll let you know if I fugure it out.

Re: Search function problem
Single or Dual monitors? Is it possible that the search box is appearing on the secondary screen?
You mentioned you moved your kma files...are you sure the rebuild database found your songs. I'm guessing maybe that the database is empty and seeing no songs to search, it doesn't open that window? Thats all I can think of at the moment, perhaps it will help... Flip |

Re: Search function problem
There is a registery entry that controls where Hoster is displaying items. See this post:
http://forum.mtu.com/showpost.php?p=30626&postcount=7 See if it helps. |

Re: Search function problem
I believe the database was rebuilt ok because I can play everything, everything and all the songs are there. Just that **** search button. I am going to try the registry edit but I am pulling a double today and have a show on friday so I don't want to take the chance of having to do a format and restore before the show. I will however let you know as soon as I do it. Thanks everyone!

Re: Search function problem
Ok,
I think I know what you have done. The search button is opening the Dialog, but you have it moved to a location that it can't be seen. To fix this you must delete the Defaults for Hoster in the Registry. Lets go into the Registry and Delete a few keys to reset this. 1) Go to the Start Menu\Run. 2) Type in Regedit and hit Ok. 3) Go to the Very Top to start with. 4) Click the + beside HKEY_CURRENT_USER 5) Click the + beside Software 6) Click the + beside Micro Technology Unlimited 7) Click the + beside Hoster 8) Click Default, press the Delete key, when Default is a blue/purple color, showing it is selected. 10) Try Hoster again and see what happens. This should reset all of the settings to default.

Re: Search function problem
AzKaraoke,
Have you tried deleting the Registry keys, as I posted above? This should fix your problem.
