Re: Hissing Problem

<>I use Mackie 1521 speakers with a Mackie DFX-6 board. I also use SRM 450 for smaller venues or as a monitor for singers. I had the same problem with the hissing sound. The solution I came up with was to purchase the Sound Blaster Extigy external sound card and connect my laptop to the extigy. Then I purchased a cable with a mini plug on one end and a left and right ¼” plug on the other end. Then I connected the cables from the Extigy (mini plug) to the Mackie board (1/4” left and right). I then connect my Mackies to the board. I recommend connecting the Mackie speakers to the left and right channels as opposed to daisy chaining the speakers. The sound is excellent.

(Mackies do rock!!!!)
