Re: 2 x Computers / External HD / Hoster Error

change your target. make hoster look in your hard drive for the files.

Re: 2 x Computers / External HD / Hoster Error

you should keep all the hoster files in the mtu folder on the main hard drive.

c:/programs/microtech/hoster. not your usb drive

when you set it up, it sounds like you chose the usb drive to store all you hoster files ( not just your .kma's) i mean like the bucket & the songs.mbd & your song books.

you need to change this.

you should have chosen all hosters default settings, then when you were ready to import you could choose the usb drive for your destination for your .kma's

hope this helps, im not at my computer that has hoster on it.

It sounds like you used the external hard drive to play drom, or import to then copied them to the internal hard drive.

The songs database writes in the database where the files are located. if this is the case. disconnect the usb drive, and do a rebuild songs database and make sure the pop up box has the correct path shown for this location. then everything should work ok.

Re: 2 x Computers / External HD / Hoster Error

As Gduns stated, just Rebuild your Songs database and it will work.

Re: 2 x Computers / External HD / Hoster Error

Can't 'Rebuild Songs Datbase' -- Hoster blows up before allowing anything to be done.

I have a local dataset on the local HD and have used it before -- this happened after I disconnected the USB HD w/ all the 'mobile' songs so the laptop go to a GIG.

Thanks for all the help -- I need to reconnect the USB HD and see if hoster is 'happy' -- of course I can also remap my local HD's location to what Hoster is looking for -- but that's another story!

'Rebuild Songs Datbase' ....... when the first window opens, you have to tell it where the files are on the internal hard drive. If you have to untill it starts leave the usb drive connected. but you should have no problem after you set the source directory for the .kma files.
