Problem Reading Singers Disc

I am having problems with a brand new PC not reading Singers CDG discs. When I installed Hoster the Optical drive passed the initial test that determines whether Hoster can read CDG files. This drive is a new Sony Optiarc drive and has this type of drive has worked with other computers we have and normally works great with Hoster. It sees CD's in Windows Media Player just fine.

I get the following error "The track number you entered was not found on the disc. Enter a Valid track number and try again." This happens immediately when you click on the button to add the song. There is no delay like normal when you click to add a singers song.

I am using Hoster 509, Sony Optiarc DVD Drive, Windows 7 Home 64 Bit, 16GB of RAM, a six core AMD processor. Any assistance anyone can lend will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Steve Douglas

Re: Problem Reading Singers Disc

What is happening is what happens when you put a singers CDG in the Optical drive but forget to close the drive. This is the reason I think it is software related.

Re: Problem Reading Singers Disc

Does the drive work from the import CD tracks dialog ?

If not open the Tools Menu/CD/DVD drives select the drive again in the bottom dropdown window(Even if it is the only drive) and press Save again, this will reset the registry for that drive in Hoster.
Then reboot the computer.

If it is still a problem It is usually a firmware problem if it fails to work, see if there are any firmware updates from the computer manufacturer.

I do believe Sony stopped making Optiarc Drive's last February if this means support stopped as well I don't know.
