In post # 9 you state "i dragged and dropped all my kma to the windows 8 machine"
Are they all kma type files or do you have a lot of kmh types ? It could happen with the KMH types if you had some of your song type to index buttons selected in the top selection group especially if you only copied the mp3, cdg file and missed the kmh header file. You may be able to delete the files you originally dropped into the windows 8 machine and try a fresh drag & drop or copy and paste.
