Ok admin. Read carefully. If I cut it back from 2 seconds to 1 second delay the problem still exists in some songs. However (IMPORTANT) If I DO NOT use key change then there is no problem even if the delay is set to 0. I believe I mentioned this before but if not, I hope this helps you isolate the problem. It seems to me that the garbled sound I hear for just a moment is the key change being implemented when the song starts. This is true in both of my laptops, one running xp and the other running vista.

Great feedback.This fact is in opposition to what we were considering as a fix.

We'll now shift to searching Tempo and Key Change for the cause.
