I have one sound card and this issue existed in 4.31 which I already reported in an earlier post. If 4.32 was supposed to fix this it didn't, at least not on the HP Vista computer I have.

Since it won't do anything then it did prevent disrupting a song playing in the playlist. Try going to Audio Controls under Tools and see if it will list any sound card for use in the Search Preview. If not then it stopped the problem.

There is no sound card listed under the Search Preview. I just don't understand why the buttons show up in the Search Window since I don't have a second sound card. Like I said, it doesn't show up in my other computer. It isn't a big deal. I just posted this because I understood that
4.32 was suppoes to fix this and I wanted to report that it did not. It isn't hurting anything, just a little agrivating but I can live with it.

Thanks,

Walt

Walt, there is a lengthy discussion somewhere in the forum about Hoster recognizing "virtual" drives you may want to read. For now just ignore them, since you don't use them anyway.

When this was first fixed and we tested it mine still showed up to, however by opening Audio Control and clicking ok, then they went away. Did I forget to tell you to click OK? Oops!!

Re: Hoster 5.08 - preview song in SEARCH window - Fixed in 4.32

Preview mpg song (kmh) would not still work in this version. Just tried it tonight and I could not preview the audio of mpg (kmh) files. It Works on mp3+g Kmh files but not on mpg kmh files. this problem was first mention on 4.31 version and said to be fixed on 5.0 version but apparently it did not work on my 5.08 version. I did not get a chance to check this features after 5.0 release until tonight.

Did you mean to post this in this thread only this thread is old and dates back to 2010, do you want me to move it to "Post 5.08 problems here" which seems more appropriate to me.

And to answer your post, No you can't preview Video or audio only files in the search box area it only previews mp3+g or zip types imported as kmh or kma and Kma files imported from disc.
Might be worth requesting it in the "Hoster new features request" thread, I for one would second this.

Re: Hoster 4.31 - preview song in SEARCH window - Fixed in 4.32

This was stated way back in 2010 in hoster 4.32 that mpg (vcd) that was imported as kmh could be preview in in search window. It was promised to work on this in 5.00 version. I knew that mpg+g imported as kmh would preview in search button, i was just suprised that mpg imported as kmh still would not preview. I knew this was old, i just want to point out that it was promised to incorporated in 5.00 Version but up to date it is not working.
