If you're like me, it is frustrating to find the right colour combinations. What looks like a good combination on the computer may appear washed out on the TV screen. Maybe we can post here the colour combinations that work well...
For Example:

Background-black-transparent
TEXT STYLE - ARIAL - 22pnt. - bold - no shadow
TEXT COLOUR - R=5,G=11,B=0,Hue=92,Sat=100,Bri=73
SWEEP COLOUR - R=15,G=13,B=0,Hue=52,Sat=100,Bri=100
