I also would be concerned with the length of these files as 55 hours worth of music in one playlist does seem to be an excessive amount and would make for a very large files. If the last playlist you had open was the 55 hour one, then I could understand Hoster taking a long time to open. One thing you can try to speed up the opening is to defragment your drive. Even if it is a new drive it may need defragmenting as Microsofts installation of Windows and subsequent updates has never been a clean install.
