Why not try the Demo first ?
When I say it was not 64bit compatible, a lot of the 64bit problems didn't come about untill versions 4.xxx I think, because there were not that many 64bit computers about at that time, so if yours worked Ok at that time it might just be related to some settings on your computer changing. Did you recheck all the original recommended settings ?
