Need Help, music and graphics not together

I have a gateway notebook MX7525,

Operating System:MS Win XP with sp#2

Processor: Mobile AMD Athlon 64 processor 4000+

Memory: 1024 MB DDR

Video: ATI Mobility Radeon X600

HD: 100GB

I have converted all my cdg to kma's. Sometime they start and play fine. other times the music starts way befor the graphics do and they never catch up with the music. So if someone where to try and sing they would end up singing about 10 seconds behind the music.

Weird thing is it only does it sometimes. But I can't find any reason for it to start or stop it. And as it is I can't us this can't us this computer for my shows untill I can get it to work, without fail.

Any help would be great.

Thanks, Tim Baker

I just got hoster last week so I have 3.301, and the computer says my driver is up to date when I tried that.

Tim,

There's a PLAYBACK OFFSET in the TOOLS section.

See if that will correct the situation.....if not then try adjusting the hardware accellerator. To do this:

1-Click START, RUN, type in DXDIAG and click OK.

2- When the pages are loaded, click on the SOUND 1 tab.

3-In the DIRECTX FEATURES block, move the slider under STANDARD ACCELLERATION left to the halfway point.

If that improves it, but still not entirely in sync, or doesn't improve it at all, go back in and move the slider further to the left.

If no change at all you can always move the slider back where it started.

If neither of the above cures the situation, there's something else wrong.

I tried the Playback Offset first, it's off as much as 10 to 15 sec sometimes so thats not helping. I tried your second suggestion, and I thought it worked but only for the first three songs I played, then started doing it again on the forth.

I'v also found that it does it even if you are playing the same song over and over.

Make sure the laptop is plugged in to A/C. It will do that if you run on batteries.
