There is a warning about that as it installs telling you to ignore it.
Would yours not let you carry on ?

Re: Hoster 5.09 Has been released May 28, 2013

When you say your background screen, are you saying your singers screen is showing full screen so covering up the controls screen ?
If so can't you double click the screen to send it back to normal ?

Cool Re: Hoster 5.09 Has been released May 28, 2013

I just downloaded and installed 5.09 today on Windows 8 system. I was pleased to see it built my database for me, but it left out a song.

This brings up a new question as how many more songs did the program not bring into the database.

Should I manually remove the KMH files and text file and import those in the folders that I am aware of?

Re: Hoster 5.09 Has been released May 28, 2013

Did you get any message that some songs were not imported ?
It may be that they are in the quarantine folder.
Open Hoster go to Tools/Hoster Data folder and look in the quarantine folder. Files that error now go into here.

Re: Hoster 5.09 Has been released May 28, 2013

Did the Hoster must close message appear while the database was building ?
Have you looked in the quarantine folder like I asked ?
If your songs are on an external drive, was it connected while it was rebuilding ?

The message did appear and Hoster did close down when building the Database.

There are no songs, KMH, KMA or Zip songs in Quarantine folder.

Thanks Roy
My database is great now with this program. I fretted for years with the old ones.

What about disc indexing? What should it be set to and could that be a problem?

Unhappy Re: Hoster 5.09 Has been released May 28, 2013

1) First time using 5.09. Sporadically, during a song, I hear a buzz that lasts for about 1 second. After that, the music and lyrics go out of sync. I set the sync to -.75 and all is well. If the buzz occurs during the same song, I have to set the sync to -1.5 and it's fine.
2) When doing a search while a song is playing, both displays (mine & the singers') flash. This again is sporadic. I've done all the updates. These conditions are very annoying to my customers and myself. Any ideas?

Have you played around with the Tools/Audio controls, There are 2 lots of settings there, a prevent audio drops, that I believe the default is 10 but I have mine at 6 and below that a setting for Audio and Display
I have mine set to normal for both display and audio but play around with these settings see if it helps.

Re: Hoster 5.09 Has been released May 28, 2013

I set the Audio Dropouts setting from 2 to 6. The audio and display settings were set to above normal and I reset them to normal. The screen flashing only happens when a song is playing and I do a search. I will let you know if there were any buzzing/out of sync problems after tonight.

Re: Hoster 5.09 Has been released May 28, 2013

Although I didn't have any crashing problems, I am still experiencing screen flashing during a search, and that sporadic buzzing during a song that throws my sync out of wack.

Have these 2 problems only started with this 5.09 version ?
Which version did you upgrade from ?

Just to see if it makes a difference, see if you get the same problem if you switch tempo mode Off. Tools/Tempo Mode choose normal mode. Tempo will no longer function but just let us know if that helps.
