32 or 64 bit?

I need to get a new computer because of the Black Screen of Death. I have been looking at computers, and they are all 64 bit. Is Hoster still 32 bit?

Thanks,
Ernie

Re: 32 or 64 bit?

Hoster has never had a problem with 64 bit mainly because Hoster cannot burn CDs. This was a problem with Microstudio which has been fixed.

Dale,
Looks like I'm going to have to do some upgrading when I get my computer.
Thanks for the help.

A lot of times those BSOD (black or blue) can be traceable to some (or many built up over time) correctable errors within your system.

I've had probems in the past and was able to bail out a few times, of course, if it directly relates to a piece of hardware totally goen, then it would be time to either replace that piece or replace the computer as you see fit.

Re: 32 or 64 bit?

I tested my monitor by hooking it up to my wife's computer, and it worked. I then pulled all the cards out, and just put it back to a basic computer, but was unable to get it to work. I took out the hard drive and hooked it up to my wife's computer (same model). In a little while I need to go get me a computer so I can have the fun job of installing everything.

CYa,
Ernie

It wasn't the power supply?

Re: 32 or 64 bit?

Bryant that was my thought. If it won't power up then it is one of two things Motherboard or power supply. Nothing else can cause this.

Ernie, does it power up at all? Since you called it the Black Screen of Death this would make me think it was the power supply or Motherboard.
You said you tried to hard drive in your wife's computer but didn't say what the result was.
