Intermission Image File Type

What file types work with the intermission Image option?

I want to change the black background to a halloween image or movie clip if it's possible.

Need some help with this.

Thank you
Joe....

You can use any of the normal image files (jpg, gif, etc.), html files (like a web page), or change the background color to any color within Windows capability. Video files will not work though.

That isn't actually a background clip. It is a very short video to initialize the video player when Hoster starts up. You can use animated GIF files though. Eventually (4.10?) they are going to make it where you can select a folder of graphic files and have them rotate through one after another with fade control. You can see this from the greyed out controls in the show display intermission section, so it will be coming. Just not sure exactly when.

No, I don't believe so, as a gif file is more or less several jpegs(or other still picture files) run together sort of like in a cartoon fashion.

But they do have such programs as gif makers, etc.

Do a Search on Google. There are several programs stating that they will convert videos (mpgs) to GIF. One is even a "shareware". And yes, GIF's will play in the Intermission screen.
