Intermission Image File Type

What file types work with the intermission Image option?

I want to change the black background to a halloween image or movie clip if it's possible.

Need some help with this.

Thank you
Joe....

You can use any of the normal image files (jpg, gif, etc.), html files (like a web page), or change the background color to any color within Windows capability. Video files will not work though.

Hi ddouglass

Thanks for the reply

Any idea on background clip option, I see Hoster has one?

Thx Joe...

That isn't actually a background clip. It is a very short video to initialize the video player when Hoster starts up. You can use animated GIF files though. Eventually (4.10?) they are going to make it where you can select a folder of graphic files and have them rotate through one after another with fade control. You can see this from the greyed out controls in the show display intermission section, so it will be coming. Just not sure exactly when.

Hi ddouglass

Is there a way to convert a animated Mpeg file to a GIG file?

Thx Joe....

No, I don't believe so, as a gif file is more or less several jpegs(or other still picture files) run together sort of like in a cartoon fashion.

But they do have such programs as gif makers, etc.

Hi bryant

Well no Halloween clip this year.

Thanks for the input on this.

Do a Search on Google. There are several programs stating that they will convert videos (mpgs) to GIF. One is even a "shareware". And yes, GIF's will play in the Intermission screen.

As stated before, still waiting for the development of transparency on the lyric window.

Joe, you could also use the "InstaButtons" to play videos, like for Halloween, and you won't have to convert to gif.

Joe Nieves October 24th, 2008 06:12 PM

Hi Skybird74

Yes I know but I need it for background on intermission where it keeps looping the instaButtons only play once.

Thank's for your advice

Joe, if you test out any of those conversion programs, let us know which one you think works best.:g Thanks! I'd like to do just the opposite. I have some GIF's that I'd like to convert so that I can use them with the InstaButtons.

Hi Skybird74

I'm checking out five programs and only one works it's called Touchillusion VideoMaster.

The price is $79.00 but it works.

If you see something reasonable please let me know.

Thanks

Hi Skybird74

Here is another that didn't work and now does after a upgrade.

The price $29.00 that's not bad and it works.
