trying to download 4.06

I sent support a ticket that i had removed Hoster from one laptop, which I did online, and would be removeing it from another as soon as new laptop arrived. well it arrived and now hoster says i have it installed on too many computers. I own 2 copies of hoster and as of right now have it only on 2machines. one i am going to keep as 3.1? one 4.05 on a desktop i am going to remove it from, after installing on my new XP laptop.

Which version did you remove?
Isn't your license for version 4 an upgrade? If so to install on a new computer you will have to install the version 3.?? then upgrade to 4.06. Upgrade license requires the previous version being on the computer before you can upgrade to the new one.

I removed 4.0? from a dell laptop yesterday,(using the download link, than clicking on remove) sent in a support ticket stating that i was doing so. My new laptop came today and Hoster will not let me download the 3.?? version that I need to install before I attempt to install 4.03 and than 4.06. if you remember and I don't expect you too, my download code has been crossed through, but you told me to try anyway, and it worked. I tried both of the numbers this time. I have sent in support tickets and the only response I have ever gotten, was their acknowledgment that my tickets were received.

Carl, version 3.21 is available on the Support Downlaods page. Install this one and then upgrade to 4.06. You should always SAVE your downloads rather than RUN them. That way you have a copy for any emergency.
Did you try going back in to check on those ticket numbers to see if they had submitted an answer?

I tried no go. I am so sick of this, 4.00 comes out i do all the updates and 2 computers go down within 3 days. so I struggle for days to download hoster on another computer, (download links) the lyrics are so far off that it is unsingable. now i buy another computer ($$$) and can't download hoster again. when I remove a version using the internet, Remove button it should have freed up a version immeditaly. But no, not for old crazy carl, nothing about hoster and 4.?? has ever been easy. ever since MTU started trying to make zip files work, hoster has gone down hill. I realze that support is busy, but so am I. Support should be able to look at all support tickets every morning and after lunch. there truely cannot be that many. a dozen a day, two dozen.
i don't save the downloads because i have never had any success doing it. and if there is a download link in support the one i found takes me back to the normal download page. and as long as i have been a customer and forum member i have never heard of anyone else have there download link crossed through. when you use the updated one it says it is for a different version.

I don't understand. When you click on a download button you have the options to RUN, SAVE or CANCEL. Click on SAVE and give it a location on your computer to save it to. What is so hard about that?
How many tickets they get a day (I have no idea but know it was high for a long time) is not the problem. They have a backlog of tickets which is why they have not been able to get to them that fast. There is only one person working Support and not everyone needs just a reset.
Not sure what you are doing to get the download. Go to the MTU website, click on the Support button up top. Look in left column for download links and click on it, then click on the link for Video Hoster. Scrool down and you will see a version 3.321 version with a download button. Click it and download it.

In another thread you stated that you never got an answer on two tickets you submitted. Did you ever go back in and check the status on them?
When did you submit this last ticket? MTU is running about a week or so behind on tickets right now because of Hoster and Vista.

Dale, I'm sorry, I can't wait a week or so for MTU to get to this. I need this ASAP. I have Halloween Gigs this weekend I have to do.

dale this is what Hoster says it is supposed to do

Video Hoster can install on your show computer AND a backup computer any number of times, for a total of TWO (2) computer installations, while the new QUAD product installs on 4 computers. Video Hoster Lite installs on ONE (1) computer, and the new DUO product installs on 2 computers. Your computer must be on-line to the Internet (even dial-up) to register, but this is not required to run. "" I think i did this correctly. below you will find my support ticket. Please notice the not viewed part

bryan, after having so many problems with computers these last 2 months, 2 broke after installing sp3, the one I am using now slow lyrics, screen not refreshing, hoster shutting down for no appart reason, losing my song list. I will be removing hoster from the dell 2400. I bought and should have a new dell latitude tomarrow, i want to install hoster 4.05 on that machine and 3.?? on my home computer. Do I have enough downloads to accomplish this? when the new laptop comes in I will be removing all hoster programs from the dell 2400. Starting Wendsday I have gigs the rest of the week, so i must know before removeing program from 2400.

The date on it is only yesterday and I hate to say it but unless MTU happens to catch up really quickly you may be out of luck. You asked Bryan if you had enough downloads. Once a new version is out the older versions do not download anymore. That is why you save the download. You can use the same file to install and uninstall that version over and over.
