Just Starting Out, Need Answers.

I have the hoster rack mount, and have down loaded what appears to be Hoster Exe, burned this to a disk. Now, next week I am retired from my regular job, I am going to start loading in my songs, and wonder is this all I need. I bought the rack mount pc, and software from MTU. Do I have to connect to the internet with the PC for anything else. Reason I'm asking is called "DIAL UP" in my area this is all that there is, with the exception of satellite and I don't want to spend $600 + $60 a month for that service. I sometimes cannot go to Gracenote to get song titles for my DJ work without getting a lost connection.

To install Hoster requires registering the program with MTU via internet. You can use either a memory stick or a floppy disk to do this also, but this still requires taking the item to a computer that is connected to the internet for completion of the registration (check the FAQs for Hoster).

If you got the Hoster Rack from us, it already had Hoster Installed on it.

So you would not need to do anything but run the program and begin Importing songs.

You can do it that way but you don't have to do it that way (renaming it to drive A: ). Just plug the usb memory stick in before you start the install, at the appropriate stage of the install Hoster will detect it and take it from there
