Just Starting Out, Need Answers.
I have the hoster rack mount, and have down loaded what appears to be Hoster Exe, burned this to a disk. Now, next week I am retired from my regular job, I am going to start loading in my songs, and wonder is this all I need. I bought the rack mount pc, and software from MTU. Do I have to connect to the internet with the PC for anything else. Reason I'm asking is called "DIAL UP" in my area this is all that there is, with the exception of satellite and I don't want to spend $600 + $60 a month for that service. I sometimes cannot go to Gracenote to get song titles for my DJ work without getting a lost connection.

thats all you need.
you will have to connect to the internet to install the software but thats the only reason. it takes only a minute of internet time. |
I connected and down loaded the Hoster exe file, do I still have to reconnect to make it work?

To install Hoster requires registering the program with MTU via internet. You can use either a memory stick or a floppy disk to do this also, but this still requires taking the item to a computer that is connected to the internet for completion of the registration (check the FAQs for Hoster).

Thank you, I copied most all of the FAQs and do remember the one about renaming a memory stick A:

If you got the Hoster Rack from us, it already had Hoster Installed on it.
So you would not need to do anything but run the program and begin Importing songs. |
