Just Got Hoster and Need help
Hi, I'm excited to get my Hoster up and running. I've imported over 500 songs, but now hoster can't find them and it might be my fault. When I checked the hard drive .kma files I renamed the file with the singer and song name and removed the ID so I could recognize the file. Now when I search in Hoster for the song it says that it isn't on the hard drive eventhough it is. Could someone please help me, I'm dreading the fact that I may have to re-import everything...ahhh. Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks

did you rebulid your song database after importing?, if not, you have to, so that hoster will know where to look for your files..

![]() You should not have to ever look for a file, because everything can be done within Hoster. You can Search for a song by many feilds including Brand, DiskID, Title, Artist, etc. You can also Edit Songs including delete them if you need to to re-import. The reason for Hoster using the DiskID-Track Number for the name of the File is to keep the name short. Microsoft will only allow a certain length for Path+filenames and some song Titles with Artist can be too long for this causing problems.

Re: Just Got Hoster and Need help
Renaming your files before you import isn't going to change the way the KMA files are named during the import. They will still be DiskID-Track.
