Jumping Cursor ...

Is anyone else here experiencing the jumping cursor curse?

I read that it was a Microsoft problem that they won't address! Mine jumps all over the place when I'm typing. (I use a cordless mouse)..

Can anyone here offer a solution?

Re: Jumping Cursor ...

Perhaps the problem is with the mouse, what happens with the curser if you dissable the mouse ?
if the curser isn't jumping about when not connected I would think it likely to be the mouse.
Have you tried a wired mouse to see if the problem persists.

Re: Jumping Cursor ...

Also try disabling touch pad if you use the mouse only!

On my Dell, I can't figure out how to disable it, but on my HP, I keep it disabled and it still does it...!!!

On HP, go into the Contol Panel and play around with the different mouse settings. Or Search the HELP for your specific problem.

Roy,

I did switch one mouse out, but it's happening on two different computers (Dell & HP)...

Re: Jumping Cursor ...

I saw this one time on Admin's computer, as he used an External mouse. I like the Touch pad, but on his system it was the batteries in the Wireless mouse causing it. Replaced his, and it worked fine. Not saying that is your issue, but might be worth a try.

Bryan,

Thanks, but I tried that and it didn't change a thing... In fact, it's jumped three times while typing this message!

FYI: I use a cordless Logitech mouse...
