Maybe I'll buy more music and run two setups with one license.
I believe you know what I was getting at and you can split hairs over what you call the second computer if you want. I just did not want him to think it was alright to run two show computers with one license at the same time. this is what it sounded like to me in his post as he NEEDED, NOT WANTED to run a second computer without stating the purpose. I don't use my second computer for a backup although I could if I wanted. It has too many programs on it and too much clutter. I have my show system backed up on a cloned drive and there is nothing else on it except for what has to be there. If something happens to the system drive with Hoster on it, I just reboot and start up on the extra drive. My music songs and Hoster songs are on separate drives and are cloned to extra drives the same way. If someone would buy a quad license, I believe that would allow them to run two show computers at the same time with the program on two other computers for backup or test or just to sit there.

Read the license in the manual.
The license allows running Hoster on computers you own, whether you have Hoster Lite, Hoster Lite Duo, Hoster or Hoster Quad.
After years of supporting Professionals and Amatur Hosts, we designed our pricing and licening to keep professionals safe, and keep our support costs down.
Part of the price of Hoster is the support demands on us PER COMPUTER and the PANIC DEMANDS on us PER SHOW.
When someone is using both copies to run shows at the same time, we can't prevent it.
However, when one Show computer goes down and we get EMERGENCY demands, when we discover the problem is one Hoster license on two Show computers, we expect you to buy a second copy for your own protection, and to pay for your extra support demands on MTU.
Last year we upgraded our security so you... our users...can MOVE a Hoster installation from one WORKING computer to another WORKING computer. If you have a Show system and a Backup system (i.e. not in active use), if your Show system fails and you quickly buy a replacement computer, you can now remove the Backup system Hoster installation and install it on the new computer...
without any help from MTU required... and your show will happen!
If you are a professional making money using our software, and you don't want to lose a show, you need a backup. It's that simple.
If you buy Hoster Quad, we expect that to be used on up to 3 Show computers with one backup for your safety. Not only do you have ONE RegCode that installs on 4 computers, but you have backup protection YOU can remove and reinstall if one of your Show systems fail.
As one can expect, there are NO EMERGENCY demands on MTU for immediate help from Quad users.
