No we are not using the same files ...I have suspected that there was a corrupted file that may be causing this problem. Aside from separating all my files into many folders to track it down I haven't found a reliable way to remove any suspected corrupt file.

As, far as the others having the same problem...They can't even start the process...it immediately shuts down when they begin "adding" at least I may have some progress before it shuts down...

My contention is if it works at all why doesn't it continue working? Because of this happing is why I thought it was a bad file. I have approximately 80k files in six different folders on the same drive. I have looked at the different logs to determine where the process stopped. Specifically the merged file log. This log can be large if I try to "add" (merge) in a folder already in my songs database. I have tried this removing all db files too.

Let me add the reason for trying to accomplish this is that I want to reduce my duplicate bookids by using the "add" (merge) to create new bookids.

I'll try creating many folders to try and focus on finding a defective file. Although all these files were imported to kmas using hoster originally So, I'm inclined to think this may not work either.

Getting to the Laptop issue. Having to make a new purchase and come home only to find out that the same issue occurs is not inviting. That being said, (I should probably go look) does MTU offer a laptop without hoster installed?
