What brands? There may be something that needs to be addressed by MTU to make them work right. I know that the SAV series do not play the opening and closing title pages correctly. I think there was one other that has been found too, but can't remember which one it was (Oldtimers disease
-CRS).
Have you tried cutting your colors from 32 bit down to 16 bit? This has helped in a lot of cases.
