On the down side, at least a dozen times throughout the show, the program locked up as the song countdown timer reached 0:01. Had to use task manager to shut down, then restart Hoster, delete the song that had just been sung and go on. After the problem continued, I had to stop the song immediately after the music stopped, delete it, then start the next song.

Now, a new demon has emerged...no lyrics at all! All I get is an error message:

! An error has occurred in the script on this page
Line: 40
Char: 42
Error: An interface h s too many methods to fire events from
Code: 0
URL: file:///C:/MTU/Hoster/BodyContentDisplay.htm
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?

Before this weekend's shows, we are uninstalling & returning to the old version!!!

Hope these problems get fixed F-A-S-T!

There were TWO line 40 errors. As Dale points out above, 4.01 did fix one of them.

Your line 40 error happens if you are running an old version of DirectX, or DirectX components are not enabled.
  1. You must have DirectX 9.0c installed, which is the latest update. If not, please click Windows Updates (click Start button, near the top of the menu), click CUSTOM (not EXPRESS), find the DirectX download and approve it to be downloaded and installed.

  2. If DirectX 9.0c is installed, do the following:
    1. Click the Start button
    2. Select Run and enter dxdiag
    3. If using XP go to the "Display" tab
    4. In the middle of the page you will see "DirectX Features"
    5. Enable both directdraw acceleration and direct3D acceleration

I'm sure YOU will fix this before your shows this weekend.
