I checked the disk and it was really clean. I have already spoken to all contestants to make sure that if they DO bring in their own disks that they are really cleaned up and give them to me an hour early. However, I would not have thought of replaying each one if they imported correctly.

Is there anything anyone can think of that could have allowed the song to import perfectly as always but error out when I clicked on play?

to be safe i'll bring in a cdg player just in case it happens again,
