Try changing one thing and see if it will do what you want:
- Select Tools -> Settings... from the menu bar
- Click the Playlist button
- Select any value greater than zero (0) for the third item: Set this value to be the number of seconds... (I think 30 is recommended, but it's up to you)
- Click the Close button
