I was running fill music from our backup computer. 1st rotation was fine. 2nd rotation...all songs that have a key down...the music sounds garbled. I removed hoster last night. Reinstalled and it's still there. I need some help really bad. This computer is only a couple of months old.

Toshiba P875-S7200 i5-3210M @ 2.50 ghz 6gb ram 64bit. win 7 with all updates

First of have you checked you have all the latest windows updates including the latest windows media player ?
Also make sure if you have an antivirus installed it is not running a scheduled scan at the same time.

Regarding the key down problem, try messing with the Tools/Audio Controls "Prevent audio drop outs" settings it should be defaulted to 10, experiment with other settings to see if it improves it.
Thank you for your response,
I have done all of these things and the sound is still awful if the key is changed in either direction. As I mentioned before It has been fine except for some crashes and it was fine on New Years Eve in the first rotation, the sound messed up in the second rotation. I'm wondering if I should just wipe the computer clean and start over. Any advice before I make that decision?
