I only only just joined the forum and am hoping someone can give me some advice with my 2 remaining problems:
1. I am unable to listen to the audio track of a song that is selected in the search window. I have TWO sound cards; one assigned to the main play list and the other to search audio card. Both sound cards are working.
I click the search button on the main hoster play/control screen, this opens the search song database screen shown on page 10 of the manual (bottom half of page). I highlight the buttons title, artist, karaoke and type in a search string e.g. bon jovi. When I press enter or hit tab I get a list of matching songs that show up in the results list. So far all good. If I highlight ANY one song then click the preview play button to listen to the song via the second sound card I get the error 'cannot open zip file' in a popup window. If I click add to add the song to the main playlist I can return to the main control screen and play that same song with no problem. The song files are all CDG and MP3 file pairs zipped as .zip files. Note I do not used brand or book id's. These are system defaulted to unknown and XYZ... etc. Any ideas?
2. I am using the index HD files function to import my files into the database.
Importing of .zip files went fine and file count was correct. When I try to import video files it correctly finds the files in their recpective folders (include sub folders is checked) BUT they are listed in the import window twice. I am importing .vob and .mpg files. I generate only kmh files. The files are definitely NOT duplicated.
If I just go to each individual folder one at a time the import is fine. Seems to be related to checking the include sub folders option.
Any ideas on what this could be?

Great post ollertos. I congratulate you on your first report to us.
Due to Roy's duplicating your problem #1 with ZIP files, we should be able to find and fix that one easily. We are now working on KHPRO and Keyrite, then we'll get back on Hoster. We should have Hoster 5.02 out soon, which is simply a recompiling the Hoster code with a newer Microsoft Development Studio tool we use to compile; i.e. create the object code you run. By not doing any other changes, we can get this out very fast. If we add any changes, we must beta test to prove the changes work and didn't "break" anything else... takes weeks/months to do this depending on the changes we make. Your reported bugs will be studied and fixed (if a true bug) in 5.03.
Problem #2 may be an artifact of the Windows control we are using, and something we are not setting to prevent duplicates from appearing. Since they don't actually duplicate in the Songs Database, I suspect this is the case.
On Problem #2, I am assuming you are using the "Import HD Files" Screen, not the "Build Database" dilaog? Try the same with the "Build Database" screen. It is MUCH NEWER code and designed to very quickly index the selected file types (multiple allowed here, but not in "Index HD Files") and sub-folders if that button is clicked. Also, "Build Database" opens the headers on MP3 and WMA files and extracts the data if present, or adds the Filename into the Title field of the created KMH file.
