What I did was isolate the power strip that my computer plugs into from the other power strips, and plug that into the wall by itself, and the 2 other strips are plugged into another outlet. That has cleared my freezing problem up. I found that power coming from the outlet must be on the low side, because just last week I put a visualization on the display that was very intricate and intense and it worked fine until I went to play, and it froze up again. I was able to take the visualization out after a few tries and replaced it with another one that wasn't as intricate and Hoster worked fine. That tells me that it's got to be power, especially since I had major problems with power before I moved to this side of the bar. The owner checked the outlet where I used to set up, and he said power was very low, so he rewired and fixed that outlet but where I moved to, they're still the same ones. One other thing I have found is if you press a button, and then press another one too quickly, it will freeze Hoster. Case in point. I have a singer that came up to sing and I gave him the mic. I started to play the song but he wasn't ready so I hit stop. That froze Hoster, and I had to restart Hoster and then it was fine. This has happened to me on a few occasions, and that also includes hitting an instabutton and then hitting another button. If this is what's happening to you, slow down on hitting the next button. Hopefully this helps.

WHen you daisy chain power strips (connect one in to the next) then you are in effect lower each ones power output. You should never daisy chain them unless you are just using the string for distance from the plug and even that is a bad idea.
The visualization causing Hoster to freeze I don't believe would be a power problem but instead would be a processor capability problem.
Best thing to carry with you in your equipment would be a meter to check voltage levels and a ground checker to make sure outlet is grounded correctly. This would especially be helpful if you play in a lot of different venues. Then you can show the owner that he has a problem.
