Around here, Chicagioland area, most karaoke shows are 4 hours. I have done a few that run about 5 and a half hours, but those are few and far between.

You can do a batch unzip and re-zip using mp3gtools. With that many files it may take a while, but if you want your zips to work with hoster I would recomend doing it.
