Help! Cant do anything!

I have just purchased the USB Plextor writer and installed all programs including the aspi drivers and all other recomendations. However every time I try to copy something I get a error message:

Cant read audio sectors 0-25 on device 1:1:0, Illegal comand request .

But it sounds like you have a Sound Choice Spotlight Series Disc.

I am currently burning the DK Millenium set. I have a Sony Vaio digital workstation fully loaded with all you could want. I am using memorex audio disk 80 min. I have now got it to start burning however about one out of ten disk still come back with that message and the rest burn perfect at 32 speed. Is this common? I pop another disk in and dont change any settings and the next nine to ten burn fine. :r :?

Try slowing your write speed down a little and see if that does not correct your problem, you can out run your data transfer, but I have never seen that error code, Brian may need to explain the error code.

Try using other discs other than the Memorex. This brand will make the graphics break up and distort also just so you know. Have you gone back to check any discs, fully from start to finish that you have copied on the Memorex media? If not I would do so. If you see alot of spots and things, it is due to the Memorex brand of discs. I would recommend using the discs that MTU sells, this is the most reliable disc that we know of for Karaoke.

I have now burnt over three hundred disk. I have burnt them all at a miimum of 32 speed using Memorex 700/80 digital audio disk and have had no more problems. I was told to go back and watch the disk for problems. I reviewed 10 disk from front to rear and they were all perfect. Most were even clener on the graphics than some of the origionals. I think if you put a top of the line computer with the plexwriter and some memorex you cant be beat.

One more thing! Dont use Maxell gold audio. The disk look great, burn fast but audio is at about half the volume of the origional disk when played back.

One thing I noticed was that I could have a crap disc, but if read it fast enough you will get a good copy. You will also need to get a can of duster (air in a can) and blow out your burner every hundred or so, you will notice some difference after your first four or five hundred burns.
