Transferring Song Book data

Hopefully this will be my last question for a while.

I have two Toshiba laptops both running Hoster 520.02 with a Windows 7 OS. One has a 64 bit system and the other a 32 bit. With a lot of help from Roy Dennis, I've been able to clone one to the other so that everything is identical. I use the same song books for both laptops. I am continually up-dating my song database by downloading new disks and mp3+g downloads as I'm sure we all are.

I want both systems to remain exactly the same, so what is the best way to download new disks/songs so that the song numbers on both laptops match each other and the song books?

Re: Transferring Song Book data

If you only use the second computer as a backup then it is fairly simple to keep both in sync.

I would make it a habit to always try and install new music using the same computer then create the backup file as before and use restore option on the backup computer, this will keep the singers data, songs.mdb, songbook, playlist and all the data in sync. What it wont do is copy the new song files that you just imported onto the other computer so you would have to manually copy these over into identical folders on the backup computer.

There are some programs that can help with this procedure and a freeware one that I use is http://www.karaosoft.com/ProductDeta...chronizer.aspx
you would have to network your two computers together to use this programme.

If your not just using the second computer as a backup and using both at shows on the same night then this can create problems as there could be any number of different changes to data that are different on each computer so the backup from one would overwrite the other.
