Hoster runs slow

I have a new Dell (all my laptops are Dell) that runs just fine except in Hoster and it\'s very slow. For Instance 40,000 songs about 4 minutes to load on any other laptop will take over 25 minutes on this new laptop. My KJ is getting a number of freezes a night that he has to stop and start. I\'m not sure if it is related. I have no other problems with any other software with this laptop, so I think it\'s Hoster. Any suggestions

Re: Hoster runs slow

Hi just found out I misunderstood the actual problem a number of times during the night a horrible static comes from the laptop. Again I\'m not sure if it\'s related to the slowness. Sorry I don\'t know what to do if I were to talk to Dell I would have the same problem explaining what\'s going on if perhaps it\'s the laptop to blame. Maybe someone out there would know what\'s causing this.

Re: Hoster runs slow

Did you go through the recommended Hoster setup. In other words did you make the recommended changes to your computer. If not go to the website and follow the instructions step by step.

How much ram do you have and what processor is in this Dell? I wouldn\'t use anything under a I5 but myself I use I7 Intel.

As far as loading songs, Hoster historically doesn\'t load songs very fast.

Don\'t know what else to tell you with the information you have provided. You may want to do a help ticket and maybe get some direction from MTU.

Re: Hoster runs slow

One thing might help.
On the main dialog where it has Add Singers & Songs if the first button is showing as (Book Id) click on and change it to Brand.
Then close Hoster and restart it will then load the data quicker.
If you want to search by Book id do it in the Search for songs & singers dialog.
