Smile Keyrite

I just dowloaded the Karaoke Suite 4 a few days ago. It comes with Keyrite 1.400 and as MTU admitted, there is some wobble to the music. But at the volume it will be played in a show with vocals along with it, I don't think it'll be noticeable.

My gripe in reading these testimonials or negative opinions is that the version of keyrite in not given. The latest version 2.something is undoubtedly better than 1.something.

Readers would get more accurate info if you would say "I use version 1.2 and it warbles. And if you use version 2.whatever, it helps to know that, too. Otherwise, it's just a garble of pro and con comments without any substance.

One other note, the suite works better and easier than anything else I've seen.

Garble of Statements

Perhaps you have read extracts of the Beta Testing forum that was made available for public viewing by the Admin.

In Beta Testing, new versions are presented and they can be changed and upgraded as soon as problems are detected.

Some of the opinions were based soley on the new versions and some were general.

I think the summary is that version 1.400 is the same version that several users, (few, according to other folks) found objectionable at certain levels. It has been changed in delivery and installation method and not much else.

Version 2.008 is the recently tweeked version that several have found to be a big improvement.

1.400 is called Home
2.008 is called Pro

1.400 version does not claim to be in essence better than several of its 1.xxx predecessors. (perhaps this explains a lack of version citing) Several people are completely satisfied already and don't feel a need to worry about 2.008

I think I have summarized things correctly; if not I am sure someone else will make improvements on my facts.

WKRPINCHGO,

Regarding the need to mention which version when posting, your confusion is understandable, but if you'll notice, Keyrite versions 1.xx and 2.xx each have their own forum.

Version 2.xx wasn't released until late Dec.03, and the forum for it was created at that time. None of the discussion prior to then relates to version 2.xx

Version 1.xx is a continuation of the only existing Keyrite version prior to then, so there was no need to mention which version number the folks were discussing. There really isn't now either since they each have their own forum, allowing that the discussions take place in the proper forum.

Jahern's assessment is correct. Some people notice no difference between either version, some prefer version 1.xx and some prefer 2.xx.

Version 1.xx comes with the suite. If you are dissatisfied with it because of what you hear, not what you read, then by all means download the version 2.xx, try some of the same songs on it, and make your own mind up whether to upgrade to 2.xx or not.

I'm sure MTU will work with you should you elect to upgrade within 30 days of your Karaoke Suite purchase.

Take care,

George
