Hoster Lite Not reading Song Titles and Artist Names from Songs Database
I rebuilt my Songs data base. This was an error on my part. I figured out that I didn't need to do this - too late. However, now when I try to select a song to add to the playlist I get an error message which says: "Could not open the Songs Database". So, it will not add a song to the Playlist. I do see all the songs listed when I do a Search with a "*" to get the full list of songs but the titles and artist names are not there. How do I get Hoster lite v. 4.11 to read my Songs Database?

Did you stop it before the Rebuild finished?
You have a backup copy of your previous database file. The file is named songs_backup.mdb and is located in C:\MTU\Hoster. Go to that folder with Windows Explorer and first delete the file named songs.mdb then rename the songs_backup.mdb to songs.mdb. That should fix your problem.

Thank you very much for your reply. No, I didn't stop it before it finished rebuilding. But I must have done something wrong, as I don't quite understand how this is all put together. I am going to try what you advised. Thanks. |
