Question Plextor PX-712A Error Message

I am getting a "Disc Type Not Supported" error while trying to burn a .bin compilation on my PX-712A drive. I upgraded the drive firmware (1.0 to 1.5 per Plextor's site) and upgraded the ASPI layer (4.71 from Adaptec's site).

I run the ASPICHK utility, and get the following info:

ASPI32.SYS ver 4.71.1
WNASPI32.DLL ver 4.71.1

Running XP 32 bit with 3.0 GHz P4, 1G RAM

Still getting the same error, no matter what kind of CDR I try. Please help!

Thanks!

Re: Plextor PX-712A Error Message

This error is documented at: http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?t=3622

This can be caused by other programs than Nero and EZ CD also. Make sure that you stop any CD Burning program from starting when the computer boots up. Once you do this, then the program will work fine.

Sure enough! Another software was running in startup. Thanks MTU! You rock!
