cd/dvd drive wont play anymore

i haven't used my microstudio in a while i'm not sure what happened, but i tried to used it last night and my ( internal ) cd/dvd drive doesnt work anymore,used to work with the latest version of microstudio, it could read and write cdg but it won't play the songs, the screen will come on for a sec. and disappears.no driver updates is available..

Drive type & model? O/S? Version(s)? Need more Input Billyo! When did it work last? Have you been keeping up with Windows updates?
