Program wont start

Hi,
I just bought a new computer (Pentium IV 2.8 running at 800 mhz) with a plextor premium (52X32X52) so I could backup my CDG. I downloaded microstudio demo (2.508) so I could wake shure everything was working proporly before I buy the full version (2.517). My problem is that when I double-click on the program to start, I received an error message from microsoft and it stop the application. I'm running XP professional with service pack 1 and I as found out on your forum updated my ASPI drivers and directx 9,0b but it still wont start. Could anyone help me please ? How can i check if my ASPI drivers updated corectly ? (PS excuse my english, I'm from Quebec and usualy speak french)
