Coasters etc.

1) I have just purchased Microstudio 2.315 and am finding a few problems with it, at the bottom of the page I have pasted a couple of the error messages I am receiving.
The first problem is that on occasion, when writing a disk to the Hard Drive I get an error message and I can't close the message window, the only way I can get out of it its to reboot. The biggest problem is when I try to make a second copy of the CD+G or if I say no to the second copy and try to copy another disk. I consistently get the error message with the same results (reboot to get out). I have made many coasters trying variations of copying, but the only way I seem to be able to copy another disk after one has been successfully copied is to shut down the computer and start it back up. Even if I close the program, start it back up and try to copy a second disk it will then lock me up.

2) When I try to play a CD+G on my computer (that I have just copied) using your program, it skips and repeats etc. If I play it on my Karaoke machine it plays fine.

3) If I use the button "Check MTU Site", does that count as one of my 8 downloads?

4) Do I need to download the ASPI Drivers For Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP that are mentioned in the forum by Bryan Cox, MTU? I have used other copy programs quite successfully, Adaptec Easy Cd Creator (older Versions 2 of), Roxio (new)

5) What are the fastest speeds I should be using to copy CD+G's with Microstudio 2.315, right now I have it set on Automatic and I don't think that is my problem because it will make the first CD+G alright, it's just when I try to copy a second disk or make a second copy that I run into problems.

My system is:
Pentium III 450
Win 98 second edition
512meg ram
Hard drive speed 7200 rpm
Burner - Plexwriter 40/12/40/a

Altair,
Try the ASPI download, and don't forget to switch to default drivers as it mentions. Also make sure you have DIRECTX 8.0 or better installed. I believe Microsoft now offers 8.1. You may also want to go to the Plextor site and download the latest drivers for your burner.

Hope these do it for you.

Wink No More COASTERS

Thanks for the reply, I had hesitated installing those drivers because it was a brand new program. I have now downloade and installed them and it corrected ALL the problems I was having.

The program is working extremely well now and I havn't made a coaster since.
