Question cannot copy single tracks

i am running micro studio with windows xp . when i try to copy single tracks from a sc karaoke disc i get the following error message (unable to read audio sectors1:0:0 illegalcommand request(04h 0ooh o2h o5h 64h ooh) do i have mulitple problems? i have been going through your forum for over a week but the specific problem doesn't appear. iv'e tried the driver solution in the FAQ center but i can't load sloution #2or#3 can you help me .bear in mind im a novice with this -problem andy smith

Question error message

i am running microstudio v2.315 with windows xp. while trying to make a back up copy of sound choice 8712 in the custom assy mode i get this error message when i try to load it in my hard drive I get "unable to read audio sectors1:0:0 illegal command request (04h ooh o2h o5h 64h ooh)."

I have been searching your forum but i can't find the same problem. i have used upgrade aspi driver for V2.315 (solution one)
i had trouble downloading solution 2 and 3. do i have mulitiple problems? andy

Question error messsage for v2.315

i am trying to copy a sound choice cdg (8712) in the custom assy mode. when i try to load a track in my hard drive the following error message appears
unable to read audio sectors 0 to 25 on device1:0:0
illegal command request (04h 00h 02h 05h 064h 00h)
i am running windows xp and microstudio
i have also up graded my aspi driverper solution #1per faq center author david cox . i could not down load solution #2or#3
can you help me andy

Andrew,
When you have this error is it caused by the drive not supporting Karaoke. There is nothing you can do to fix this, other than to replace the drive with a Plextor brand of drive.

Here is a list of drives that state Yes for Karaoke but when you try they give you this same message. Click Here.

no andrew actually that disc has Mediacloq protection on it. there is now way around it. most of the discs from SC8700-SC8734 had it on there. you can replace that disc by contacting sound choice and exchanging it for a non-mediacloq version.

Exclamation Mediacloq

These are the SC discs that I have that have mediacloq on them:

8172, 8276, 8349, 8437, 8505, 8706, 8727, 8728. Just and FYI.

But, when SC did a production run of MediaCloq discs, from what we know, 50% had protection and the other half didn't.

What type of CD-R drive do you have that you are trying to use to copy the discs with?
