Did you have the lyrics set up in a .txt file?
Where is that the symbols show up, in the lyrics screen or in the screen where you are trying to synch the words with the lyrics?

Try opening the .txt file on the program that you have the lyrics, for example Notepad.
Open the Kpro and have the lyrics page blank
Go to the .txt file and highlight the whole set of lyrics.
Copy the lyrics.
Go to the lyrics page of Kpro and Paste the lyrics that you just copied.

If you do this does the Kpro program make your lyrics turn into "funny characters"? What kind of characters? are they related to a foreign language such as Greek or Russian?

Have you checked the font in the Settings screen? The font shoul be Arial or any other acceptable font

Hope this helps
