Unhappy 'stacks setting'?

I had to take my computer to the " 'puter doc"...
they dumped my hard drive and reloaded my Win98SE
my Plextor writer and drive....
and when I got it home...
I loaded my upgrade to Microstudio 2.400
etc....
I am getting a 'Stacks error message when I turn my computer on and it tells me its using the default setting instead.
When I try to turn it off... the computer freezes.
Can you tell me what the "stacks" setting should be in my config.files for this program?
Thanks!
infinity

Infinity,

In see you are running Kpro 4.0 on a Windows 98SE machine. It appears that the Windows installation was uppgraded and not a clean install.

Windows 98SE doesn't need a Config.sys file. There are a few things I want you to try, one at a time.

Exit to the DOS prompt and type the following without the quotation marks:

"ren config.sys config.xxx" press "enter"

Reboot and if Windows start, try to reinstall your copy of Kpro. See if it works.

If Windows does not come up, the boot into dos and type the following:

"ren config.xxx config.sys" press "Enter"

Reboot and Windows should come up as it did before.

Let me know what happens after this sequence, if you cannot install Kpro, there are other things I want you to try.

Regards,

Jon
