We have no hard date for Vogone II to be ready. It is under development. There are many issues to address before we even know if it will do what we expect.

As to hollow sounds, this is likely a result of reverb or chorusing that has been added to the vocals. I don't know if Vogone II will be able to process these any better. There is only so much you can do to remove the vocals without damaging the music. Can you send us a CDROM with one or two of your audio files stored on it as .wav files? If so, we can use them as test files to see if we can do any better with the artifacts.

Microstudio 2.2.1.2 is being tested today at MTU. I don't remember saying it will make your laptop play the lyrics any better in sync. This is a basic problem with a slower graphics card and processor. You can get the new code when it is available, which I hope will be this week.

Progress

The first internal tests were very encouraging, but showed we needed to add more of the features before we go out for clients to beta test.

We expect to have a first very early version for testing in 2 weeks. Once we have results from this testing, I expect the next round of features will be added in another 2-4 weeks for round two beta testing. However, we may rework the core algorithm to polish it for better sound, depending on user feedbac. We are getting very excited about Vogone V2.0.

Repeating my prior request - Can you send us a CDROM with one or two of your audio files stored on it as .wav files? We can use them as test files for Vogone 2.0.

Microstudio V2.216 is now being beta tested. This includes all new features that will be in V2.3 (the final release number). Our target release is May 15th.

Talking 2.008 is now testing

Results have been varied, based on understanding how to use the various controls. Since several client beta testers are reporting very good results at reducing vocals, we are moving toward release.

We have one more round of adding some new features to test (VM meter, and loop play on settable markers) and some cosmetic changes, then we will release.

It now looks like July 23rd for release.
