Performance Changes For Windows 10

I now have windows 10 installed and tried to follow the instructions on the web site that would allow me to have the highest performance level, but the instructions dated 07-11-2016 don\'t seem to be correct.

As an example #4 indicates to right click any blank space on the desktop screen and click Personalize to see the Personalization window. Then left click the sounds Button, but there is no sounds button.

#5 indicates to right click the Start Menu and then to left click Control Panel, but there is no Control Panel.

HELP!

Wes

Re: Performance Changes For Windows 10

I am not sure about #4, but for #5, type in Control Panel in the search block at the bottom and Control Panel will appear at the top.

Right click on it and select Pin to Start menu and you will have it there to select as needed...

Re: Performance Changes For Windows 10

I also pin the control panel to the start menu as described by Kod.
You can also open the control panel to select Sound, select the icon view in control panel then choose sound, then Sounds tab in that dialog scroll down the list to Exclamation left click then set bottom box to none.

Picture attached for clarity.

Re: Performance Changes For Windows 10

Thanks to both of you for the advice.

Apparently, Windows 10 has been updated since 2016 and the instructions for the Perfomance Changes are outdated.

Once again, it is nice to have folks willing to help folks who need help on this forum.

Thanks again to Kod and Roy.
