Error Converting Audio - mp3+g to bin
Occasionally the mp3+g to bin conversion fails with a BadFileLog.txt. The most recent example is my purchase of Chartbuster 30168. There are 12 mp3+g tracks on the disc, only 7 will successfully convert to bin.
The BadFileLog.txt file always reports "There was an error converting the audio in:" followed by the filename. Can a newly purchased disc truly contain so many corrupted files, or is there something else I should be checking? Is there any way to diagnose what may be wrong with these files and/or repair them? Songverter ver 1.31 Windows XP (all current updates) lame_enc.dll ver 3.99.5 (from recommended link found in other forum posts) Thnx in advance for you assistance. Re: Error Converting Audio - mp3+g to bin
As you say these files are from a Chartbuster disc are they mp3+g ?
Normally karaoke CD+G discs the files are in CDA format which would need ripping from the disc first. Unless this is like some of the new offerings on cd now. One other question, why would you want to convert it to BIN ? The only reason I can think of is to make it into a standard CD+G.

Re: Error Converting Audio - mp3+g to bin
Yep, they're from a new, bona fide Chartbuster disc and the files are mp3+g. I was extremely annoyed to find there were no standard cd+g tracks on the disc.
And you're right, the reason for conversion to bin is to create a std cd+g disc. |
